Candidate check-in

Sit a 100-160 style practice exam.

Matching tasks come first. They are security goals, attack names, control types, and the order of an incident. Then a random draw of multiple choice, including a few select-two items. A later sitting shuffles the pool. There is no packet-tracer lab on this exam.

Matching tasks
3 of 8, drawn at random. Goals, attacks, controls, and the incident stages.
Question pool
126 original items. 40 are drawn each sitting, and the choices are shuffled.
What Cisco prints
50 minutes, and no prerequisite. Cisco does not print the item count or the cut. Candidates describe about 40 to 50 items, mostly multiple choice, plus a few drag-and-drop items. There is no IOS console. That console is the CCNA exam.
Score
Reports use 300–1000. The cut candidates publish is 700, and Cisco does not print it. Each multiple-choice item is 10. Select-two is all or nothing. Each matching task is worth up to 10, with partial credit per match. 700 is about 57 percent of the items, because the scale starts at 300.
Time
50:00 if you sit it timed. Untimed keeps an elapsed clock and will not auto-submit.

StaticFire is an independent practice bench. It is not affiliated with Cisco, and a score here is not a CCST certification.
