Candidate check-in
Sit a 220-1202 style practice exam.
Performance tasks come first. They are Windows and Linux jobs, permissions, malware steps, and computers you open a prompt on. Some of them are diagrams or a setting on each device. Then a random draw of multiple choice, including a few select-two items. A later sitting shuffles the pool. The score page explains every item. A+ is two exams. Sign in so a timed pass on this core can be paired with Core 1.
- Performance tasks
- 3 to 5 of 26 tasks, drawn at random. Commands, disks, permissions, and diagrams.
- Question pool
- 338 original items across the four 220-1202 domains. Each sitting uses only part of the pool, and the choices are shuffled.
- Points
- Each performance task is worth up to 50. Each multiple-choice item is worth 10, select-two included. The mix always totals 900 raw points.
- Scaled score
- 100 + (raw ÷ 900) × 800, on the 100–900 scale. 700 is a pass, which is the published Core 2 cut.
- The A+ badge
- Sign in. A timed pass here is saved to your account. The A+ badge opens only after this account also has a timed pass on Core 1.
StaticFire is an independent practice bench. It is not affiliated with CompTIA, and a score here is not an A+ certification. A+ requires both cores.
